Just like the earth, our bodies are comprised mainly of water… approximately 60-75% of your body weight is water. It is essential to stay properly hydrated each and everyday as a form of detoxifying your body. Water helps flush out toxins that can cause damage as well as help bring the good nutrients to our bodies so we can perform at an optimal level.
So how much water do you need daily? Well that exact number is different for each person and there is a lot of factors that can contribute to how much intake is necessary for each individual person. According to the Institute of Medicine, men need approximately 13 cups of water per day and women need about 9 cups daily.
