So whats the big deal about mobility? Maybe you have decent flexibility and can perform most of the CrossFit movements without many issues. So why do you care?

Different types of situations come up all the time, in our regular life, in the gym, and in competitions . We need to be prepared. Sure, you can perform the movements relatively easily, but added mobility will help your efficiency and your technique. It will also help your recovery and will eliminate fear when ypu come across situations you maybe weren’t expecting.

The picture below of Billy shows just how important the hip mobility is during a wall jump for speed. This wall might actually scare him if he wasn’t flexible enough to just throw one foot up there. The moral of the story is that you never know what you will find yourself doing in life. Be prepared, be flexible, adapt, and overcome!
