“Though she be but little, she is fierce!” – William Shakespeare
Nic was born and raised in Niwot, CO. She never participated in team sports as a kid, but being small for her age (shocker!) her father enrolled her in Tae Kwon Do when she was nine. At the age of thirteen she earned her 1st degree black belt, and started teaching kids classes. By 18 she was teaching children and adults Tae Kwon Do full-time and had earned her 3rd degree black belt; during that time she began teaching fitness classes like Tae Bo and Kickboxing. That next year she earned her Personal Training Certification and continued her love for fitness and helping others. Next, she began training and teaching Muay Thai Kick Boxing.
In the Spring of 2012, she moved to Lafayette and was looking for a change of pace when she stumbled upon CFJ. Her first class was an Evolution class and she climbed all the way up the rope on her first attempt. It was love at first site! She’s competed in several CF competitions and hopes to continue growing as a Crossfit athlete and helping others in their journeys as well.
“I have always had an intense passion for fitness; and my experience with Crossfit has only intensified my addiction. The feeling I left with that night I climbed all the way up the rope still pulses through my veins, and I live for that feeling. Every drive to CFJ I get little nervous butterflies in my stomach, and once it’s 3, 2, 1 time, I let those butterflies soar! I love every chance I get to improve my own skills, but there’s no better feeling than watching other athletes achieve their goals and knowing that I had a little something to do with it.”
